A interesting character in a science fiction series
I will speak about one character from one of my favorite series: The Expanse.
This series it is about science fiction, it is set in the XXIII century when the human being has colonize planet Mars and the asteroid belt, there are discontent and war threat. For me the best character is a peculiar character, her name is Chrisjen Avasarala. She is a powerful mature woman, she’s perfidious and she dresses elegantly.
I don’t know how old is she, but she’s a grandmother. This woman lives in the Earth, home of the privileged and government under the UN. She’s a senior official of the UN, from that position she has a great influence a global nivel. But she’s not freely elected, she belongs to a politician ancient family, dating back to the early days of planetary exploration and colonization.
Avasarala claims avoid the war between the Earth and planet Mars. To achieve this objective she uses any manner or trickery possible. In the first chapter, she tortured a citizen of Belt using graving of the Earth. In other chapter she blackmails a colleague, at another time Chrisjen use a friend who is Mars’s embassador to obtain information, for this reason he lost his diplomatic post and he’s killed. Apparently by her, “the end justifies the means”.
I love clothing world, especially traditional dress, so I was impressed when I saw this character, this woman is always very dazzling dressed, generally she wears a sari (the sari is a indian traditional dress) in bright colours and she enhanced by intricate hairstyles. I believe the images speak for themselves. Don’t you think so?

Finally, I Love science fiction about interplanetary conflicts, I adore custom design -especially when it comes to silk sari- and I'm impressed an evil personality, then this character is a perfect mix for me. I think Chrisjen is a complex and well-built figure. Certainly her dress style emphasize her power, but it's difficult to imagine this elegant mature woman torturing someone.
